This session I had with Lisa Rubino helped me to be more assertive with my decision making on how I truly feel.  In certain situations, I would push my feelings aside and just go with the flow.  After our meetings, I now have a way to effectively communicate what I want and come to a compromise that will work for all people involved.  She took her time with me and made me feel like what I said mattered.

When I agree to nurse coaching I had no idea what I was agreeing to. I thought that I would be spinning an hour a week just talking about my health and health goals.

From day one Lisa blew through my expectations. With each session Lisa showed me that there's so much more to coaching than just my physical health. We spoke about goals both big and small. She helped me see how my smaller goals can help lead to my bigger goals, All of them being connected in some way.

     She was always encouraging even when I didn't complete my weekly goals stating that there is no failure, only progress. While we did talk about health , we also spoke about stress, things that give and take energy, and life obstacles.

     I am very proud to say that I am on day 60 of learning German, a goal I set with her, and still doing some exercise daily.

        It was so more than just someone talking at me, it was communication with me, for me, about me.

I highly recommend Lisa as a Nurse Coach,   She is devoted to the process, and is very kind.  She listens very well, and she really understands how to get the most out of you, even if you don't know it yourself.

Prior to working with Lisa I struggled with releasing bad habits like smoking. Through questioning, reflection, and meditation, Lisa was able to help break down my relationship with cigarettes and discover what was holding me back from quitting. She was very supportive and never judged me. I always felt I was in a safe space. Lisa was able to guide me through my feelings and concerns with patience and support. She celebrated small wins with me and her encouragement was something that I wasn't receiving from my family. The process was not always easy, but Lisa has the ability to make you feel you're not alone and she truly cares about your well-being.
